The hot water piping systems we engineer at Insul-Pipe Systems are constructed of high quality, insulated carrier pipe constructed of steel, CPVC, fiberglass, copper, or ductile iron. These systems are designed with premium quality closed cell polyurethane insulation that not only provides the lowest thermal conductivity available, but also possesses a natural resistance to water penetration. Seamless, low pressure rated PVC, HDPE, or fiberglass jackets are used to complete the piping system, adding additional protection from the elements. Engineered coupling and fitting kits are designed to be poured into PVC cover molds in the field for a watertight seal. Any required seals, such as waterproof mastic, can be factory applied to create a leak-tight joint that will extend the life of the piping system.
We can provide an engineering analysis to customize any system to fit a given fluid handling application. Using ASHRAE standard calculations, our engineers can ensure that the carrier pipe has the proper levels of insulation and protection to meet the specified requirements. Documentation and technical support are also provided with every project. We have installed numerous piping systems for the military, municipal governments, and industrial customers around the world. Because piping systems are prefabricated as much as possible ahead of time, the total time required to manufacture a custom piping system is a fraction of the time required to build a new system from scratch and pre-insulated systems are of a much higher quality than field constructed systems.
